Peas, Carrots, Celery Mixed Veggies Dog Food

DIY Mixed Veggies for Dogs

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Green Peas 17.64oz
  • 5 pcs Carrots
  • 70 g Celery 2.5oz
  • 400 g Ground Chicken 14.1oz
  • 2-3 cups Water
  • 2 tbsp Coconut Oil

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bring water to boil in a pan. We will use this to blanch green peas later.
  • Peel and cut the carrots into cubes.
  • Remove the celery leaves and save them for later. You can use them on stocks or other recipes. The reason you’re not adding them to this recipe is so that you can keep the food in the fridge longer.
  • Chop the celery to the same size as the carrots and peas.

Cooking Procedure

  • Blanch your peas 3-5 minutes until they are a bit soft, and make sure to not overcook them.
  • Sauté your ground chicken using coconut oil in a large pan. Adding a hint of coconut oil to your dog’s food each day will reap many benefits. 
  • When the chicken brown, add the carrots mix and add 2-3 cups of water.
  • Boil until the water is reduced to half.
  • Add the green peas.
  • Lastly, turn down the heat and add the celery. This way, the celery will maintain its crunch, which is good for your dog’s teeth and gums and may even help freshen your dog’s breath.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cup Brown Rice
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 3 cups Baby Spinach
  • 2 pcs Carrots shredded
  • ½ cup Peas frozen

Instructions
 

  • In a large saucepan of 3 cups water, cook rice according to package instructions; set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the turkey as it cooks.
  • Stir in spinach, carrots, zucchini, peas, and brown rice until the spinach has wilted. The mixture is heated through, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Let cool completely.
