Chonky Dog Diet: Homemade Low Fat Recipe for Your Dog
I have an uncle who has so many dogs, and I notice that when it comes to feeding his dogs, I can see his dogs really have no diet or control over foods.
Almost every day, his dogs eat meat about two or three times a day. And he told us that it costs a lot when it comes to feeding his dogs.
It’s because he loves his dogs so much, and he wants to provide all the needs and wants of his dogs.
But I notice that his dogs are not very healthy or active. Dogs are always that lying, sleeping, and doing nothing, especially his bulldogs.
So I thought maybe something was wrong with his dogs. It turns out that the dogs are fat and about to become obese.
Why Obesity in Dogs is not good?
“Excess fat negatively impacts a dog’s health and longevity.” The health risks to overweight dogs are serious, and every dog owner should be aware of them.
For dogs, 34% are overweight, and an additional 20% are obese. These statistics reflect an alarming increase in clinical obesity in recent years.
Often obese dogs are no longer active and always seem sluggish.
How to help your dog lose weight?
For dogs, as for humans, losing weight really comes down to two things: food and exercise. And for a dog owner trying to manage or reduce their dog’s weight, food is most important, by far.
It’s easy for dog owners who have active lifestyles to overestimate the impact of physical activity on weight maintenance.
So even for active dogs, it’s important to establish clear guidelines for daily caloric intake.
Do you want to have some ideas or tips on healthy foods and treats to prepare for your lovely dogs? From the sources, here are some of the low fat / low carb recipes for your dogs!
